Summer is over.
School is back in session. Senior year!
Senior year...
Yeah, senioritis is strong with this one.
I feel like my time at UW has blown by so fast.
At the same time, I am very ready to move on.
That being said, I am thinking of pursuing my creative passions post grad.
I've always loved art and design, but I've never gone after it.
I don't want to get a job I hate for the next 40 years, so I am putting faith in my given-gifts and
Take the plunge.
(I'll keep you posted in what that means in months to come).
With that, I have been trying to shoot more and create more.
I went on a hike with a friend I have known since second grade.
We hiked Granite Mountain out by Snoqualmie.
Man, oh man. It was a beaut!
Towards the endish of the hike we decided to be adventurous and hike off the path to a ridge.
What resulted was sketchy rock climbing and scrambling up the mountain.
Another guy was up there fortunately, and he guided us off the ridge and back onto the trail.
Yikes.
Anyways, what was supposed to be an 8.4 mile hike ended up being more like 10.
Yeahhh fitness. (but actually).
The weather was stellar-- freezing but stellar.
Take a peak.
You can see Rainier peeking out in the back.
Everyone struggling with the ice.
Molly.
Granite Mountain Lookout.
Those Alpine mountains reminded me of Austria.
And all that ice reminded me of Iceland... except there are actually trees here.
The beginning of our scramble.
Can you spot the tiny people?
This guy saved the day. Look at that scramble.
I mean, it was a little cold.
One of the best hikes I've been on in a while.
Other Updates:
Still working at Starbs.
Have an internship at Rick Steves!
Went on my road trip. Have a ton of photos. Will post eventually.
I now have an official website! stacielarsen.com. It's basically a compilation of my writing samples and links to my resume. Check it out :)
