So. Here we go with round one of post Iceland posts!

This series was taken when I was in Akureyri still. Our group had extra money in the budget so our professor worked it out so that we could go whale watching! It was snowy and so cold. BUT! We saw some humpback whales! My DSLR does not have a zoom lens so I did not get any good shots of the whales since they were pretty far away. It is a bummer, but I have the memory in my head at least and that is more valuable from my perspective.

It was fun watching them dive though. They would surface briefly for air then take a deep dive to the bottom where they were eating. Before their big dives they would show their tale and then they would be gone for a few minutes.

I also got some portraits of some of my classmates which is always fun. I think humans are one of the most interesting subjects anyways.
