I made it!.. finally.

Traveling long distances is my favorite but the process of actually getting there? No thank-you.

For those of you worried about my safety, I have made it to Vienna! It was an uphill battle though.

This was the beautiful sight of my hostel. I made it 5300 miles by myself(:

I could go into detail about the annoyances I faced while in transit like plane companions bumping you the moment you fall asleep or eight hour layovers alone, but honestly no one wants to hear me complain. Instead I made a list of observations I experienced while traveling for 24 hours.

Seattle>>Frankfurt>>Vienna>>Wombat Hostel Naschmarkt

  • Drinking water on the airplane is a good idea. Dehydration is not ideal. Who would've thought?
  • In the Frankfurt Airport, janitors travel in style. Segway Style.
  • Grown business men casually nom on ice cream bars while reading Die Zeitung.
  • Summer hasn't started yet... so it is snowing here. yay?
  • Middle Aged German men, and the occasional woman, ride bicycles around the airport.
  • People of all ethnicities speak German, not just your typical anglo-saxon.
  • European people really do not smell great. I was warned this, and it is true.
So that was a compilation of People Watching, and other observations; transit edition. Maybe I will make more as time continues on?

Today my group and I have taken our placement test, which went much better than expected, and we are about to leave for a hike to apparently the largest mountain in Vienna. Then group dinner to follow.

Its weird being here, but I am excited to see what happens and how I grow.

Tschüs!

The delightful airport where I spent 8 hours and couldn't sleep to avoid jet lag.
