Water Falls and Black Sand

When traveling last spring I would say that my favorite weekend adventure was my trip to Zell am See. It was super impromptu and an escape from the city into some nature. The rest of my trip, sans Ireland, lacked the natural vibe that I began to crave so much on my journey. Growing up the the northwest has spoiled me with its beautiful green hills, abundance of waters, and of course the mountain. Jumping from city to city made me miss that.

A major reason for me coming on this adventure to Iceland was to have that foreign vibe but in a more indigenous and natural part of the world. I've been here a week and know I made the right decision by coming here. Everyday has fed my craving for the natural in some respect.

A few days ago we did much driving, and along the way we stopped at two waterfalls and a black sand beach with basalt stacks. The landscape is as desolate as I imagined (which honestly is not captured at all in this photo set) and that aspect gives it so much beauty. If I was in charge of the vehicle we would be stopping every five minutes to take photos because I am always so enthralled. I'll let the photos speak for themselves at this point because there are not enough positive adjective to describe the feelings that they pull from me.
