30 Days.

30 days until I leave for Vienna.
23 days until I move out of what has been my home for the last year and a half.

Summer doesn’t feel like it happened so long ago. I remember just hanging out with my friends and prepping for the new school year. At that point I had no idea what was in store.
All quarter I have been meeting with my travel group in preparation. We have learned about the rich history of Vienna which will make visiting it so much sweeter.

I want to see
The halls where Mozart played.
The palace where the Hapsburgs lived.
The ring surrounding the city center representing the enlightenment and the over taking of the Imperials.
The “Golden Cabbage” and the “House with No Eyebrows” built rebelliously.

Vienna is a city full of wonder. It has seen many transitions which makes it historically dense. I have read and learned so much already, but I am ready to throw aside the books and live the city. I am done speculating based on author’s opinions of the people and the music and the architecture. I am ready to form my own opinions.

30 days of nervousness.
30 days of further preparation.
30 days of spending time with loved ones.
30 days of anticipation.
30 days!
